Delete your IntroVertigo account

You can delete your IntroVertigo account and its data yourself, at any time, from inside the app. You do not need to contact us or wait for approval.

Delete it from the app (takes about 30 seconds)

Open IntroVertigo and sign in.
Tap You in the bottom navigation bar.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Confirm twice — we ask a second time on purpose, because this cannot be undone.

Your account and personal data are removed from our active systems immediately. You are signed out on every device.

If you can't get into the app

Lost your password, uninstalled the app, or locked out for any reason? Email help@intro-vertigo.com from the address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account.” We will verify you own the address and delete the account within 30 days, usually far sooner, and confirm by email when it's done.

What gets deleted, and what is kept

Encrypted database backups	Kept up to 14 days, then overwritten automatically on our retention cycle. Backups are never used to restore a deleted account.
Billing and tax records held by Apple or Google for purchases you made	Kept by them, not by us, for the period their own policies and the law require. We never receive or store your card details.

Retention period: personal data is removed from active systems immediately on deletion, and from encrypted backups within 14 days.

Deleting some of your data, without deleting your account

You don't have to close your account to remove things. All of this is in the app, and takes effect immediately:

Moments — open Moments from your battery screen and delete any single moment, or tap Clear all to remove every one of them.
“What helps me” rules — My circle → What helps me, tap a rule to remove it.
Your status note — clear the text on your home screen and it disappears from your circle.
A flagged hard day — My circle → A hard day coming?, delete the flag.
People — My circle → Who can see you, remove any watcher, and everything they could see goes with them. You can also block someone outright, which is mutual and immediate.

If you'd like something removed that the app doesn't let you delete yourself, email help@intro-vertigo.com and we'll take care of it.

Cancelling your subscription is separate

Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an active subscription, because the subscription is held by the app store, not by us. Cancel it in Google Play → Subscriptions or the App Store → your name → Subscriptions. It's worth doing that first.

Want your data before you go?

The app can hand it to you: You → Download my data, which exports what we hold about you. Do that before deleting, since deletion is permanent.
